Calm and affectionate boy …

Meet David

Hi everyone David here, just wanted to tell you about my adventures yesterday.

Firstly let me tell you a little about me. I am a five year old greyhound from Ireland who has always lived in racing kennels.  I am fully vaccinated (including kennel cough) neutered, microchipped and have received both flea and worm treatments.

Yesterday I went on a jolly to the beach and seafront with Steve, one of the trustees.  Steve told me I was a very good boy.  I met children, quite a few other dogs, including two whippets.  I was very polite especially when a German Shepherd appeared from nowhere without an owner and sniffed my bottom and then we met a Bulldog who just barked in my face, not quite the same shape as my pointy nose and definitely not as polite as me!!!!

We then had a trip to the café for a coffee and a treat, again Steve told me I was a good boy as situations like this are alien to me, but I am enjoying learning about the big wide world outside of racing kennels.

Steve then took me to meet his dogs, different shape to me as he has a Beagle, Labrador and Greyhound – I was rather taken with Biddy, she is a very beautiful greyhound and she gave me lots of kisses.

I did get a little excited when I saw seagulls and pigeons, but Steve told me to be a good boy and gave a little pull on my lead to let me know this wasn’t acceptable.

I enjoyed my journey in the car and travelled well – hope we can go out again Steve!!

I am looking for a home with people who have had a dog before, not necessarily a greyhound, although I do love other pointy noses.

I do love my food, I am a clean boy in my kennel and I am very affectionate, loving and calm.
